Eoin Jordan from the Diviners in Cork is a proud owner of an Ultan Walsh bouzouki, you can hear the quality of the instrument in the clip above. Eoin is playing two tunes. The first one is an Old-Timey tune called "Over the Waterfall", and the second one was composed by Eoin. It's called "The Funt in the Hole".

Ultan Walsh is the maker of these fine instruments. He is from Nohoval, Co.Cork. He is an experienced and highly skilled luthier. He has been building for over twenty years. I remember him all those years ago exploring, and researching these instruments. He has developed a unique design and the tone of his instruments are exceptional. Which he gives a lot of thought to. He seeks out as much local woods as possible for his builds. His bouzoukis are in high demand and as soon as they are made they are gone so we are lucky to be able to showcase this instrument.

  • This model has a cedar top with Glounthaune Lacewood back, sides and neck.
  • Fermoy walnut binding and headstock veneer.
  • Ebony fingerboard.
  • Comes with a hard case.

Ultan has been tinkering on this instrument a little at home over the last 12 months, so it is not spanking new but that is even better. The woods will have improved and the tone opened up.

Selling on commssion for the maker.
