Hughie Kennedy is a master musician and a great teacher. He works with me, where I am at on my B/C button box, with positive energy! Hughie helps me choose traditional tunes that fit on the box and how to give them that Irish lilt. He is amazing at modelling and teaching ornamentation. I look forward to my Zoom lessons and recordings from Hughie!

I took up the B/C box two years ago and have been attending lessons with Hughie since. Working with Hughie is inspirational. He has a huge bank of tunes, has a vast knowledge of all Irish music..... but most of all, hIs enthusiasm is infectious. Before Covid, we worked together, one on one, but since we've worked online. I highly recommend Hughie as a teacher and now consider him a very close friend and mentor.

Hugh is indeed a gifted musician and inspiring teacher. My son Séan Óg is 13 and really enjoys his button accordion class with Hugh. Hugh is energetic and engaging and has a wonderful talent in encouraging his students to be the best they can be. As a parent, I am so pleased with Séan Ógs progress and it's a big plus that Hugh's class is lively and fun.

Hugh Kennedy has been teaching button accordion to my son Darragh, aged 13 for a number of years. I find Hugh to be very friendly, pleasant, obliging and always enthusiastic. Darragh has great time for him and enjoys his lessons. Hugh has given him confidence in his music abilities and an interest in the instrument, which tends to diminish as boys reach their teenage years. I am glad that we met Hugh and he teaches my son as I'm not sure he would have stuck with it with another teacher.
