About Me
Hi my name is Ronan Murphy and I'm a guitar player and teacher from Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
I've been playing guitar for almost 19 years now, professionally for 16. I've studied music and guitar in BIMM Brighton and Dublin where I earned a diploma in the Guitar discipline (Brighton) and a BA Hons in Commercial Modern Music in Dublin also in the Guitar discipline.
After finishing my studies I worked as a showband musician for Carnival Cruise Lines for two contracts, which lasted 6 months each. This experience was invaluable to my growth as a musician and a person.
Since finishing with the cruise lines I've been teaching guitar privately and gigging for a living in Co. Kerry.
Music and Guitar playing are my great passions in life and it's something I love to share with students and try to pass on whatever knowledge I've acquired over the past 19 years.
About my Guitar Classes & How to Book
All student levels are welcome from beginner to advanced. I teach acoustic and electric guitar in a variety of styles including, rock, metal, blues, gypsy jazz, reggae and funk. Additionally if a student wishes to take exams, I will endeavour to write up an exam. But I do not conduct exams.
